AUDITION FOR PHYSICAL PERFORMERS/CLOWNS

Parallel Exit is seeking creative, funny, and physical performers for a new untitled physical comedy production.  Mark Lonergan, director.  Developmental rehearsals run May-July 2008, and October 2008, production runs November 2008 and February 2009, with the possibility of longer run beyond these dates. 

Seeking--highly physical performers with a background in one or more of the following: clown, dance, mime, improvisation

Auditions are by appt. only April 30, beginning at noon.  To schedule an audition appt., send pix & résumés by April 25 to mark@parallelexit.net. Wear comfortable clothing; prepare for physical improv.  Pay.  Equity Members welcome. 

Parallel Exit creates physical theatre inspired by the films of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. Looking for Energetic, PHYSICAL, Spontaneous, IMPROV TYPE PERFORMERS

To be part of the Bedford Circus of Fools troupe to perform at Artwalking: Bedford Avenue artist exhibition in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Sunday April 27th on Bedford Ave. btwn. N. 3rd to N. 9th (near the L stop)  from 1pm - 5pm.  Need people who are comfortable with performing on the street in front of the public. Performance style involves merrymaking, clowning, mime, improv, improptu, dance and your inner child.  The troupes main intention is to inspire smiles. Your performance will be shown on the internet.  You will get full credit and a copy of the edited footage too.
 
Requirements:
 
*some experience in improvisation, and clown type performing. 
 
*Able to participate in one rehearsal, Wed. April 23rd 6 to 8:30pm.
 
*The creation of your very own outlandishly bizarre, wacky, character with your own costume.

Poet Theatricals is looking for qualified professionals! We are currently casting for our 3 new shows on Celebrity Cruise Line’s new Solstice. Offering contracts of various lengths beginning July through September 2008. SEEKING PHYSICAL COMEDIANS: Non-verbal circus style comedic variety artists. Acrobatic skills a plus. Please prepare a 2-minute comedic piece, be prepared to show additional skills. If you have an existing character costume, please wear it to the audition.
